Dear Guests,
It’s been confirmed by our government that the moment has arrived in England for us to return to life free of many of the restrictions we have endured since March last year.
We welcome the progress of moving to this final stage of the roadmap and truly hope that this signals the beginning of the end. We do, however want to take a moment to reflect on the loss suffered by thousands of families and not forget that this pandemic has come at a tragically high human price.
Throughout, we have taken our responsibilities very seriously, recognising our privileged position to be able to look after you, our guests and the commitment to keeping our team safe, well and happy in the workplace.
It’s with this in mind and in the wider context of case rates continuing to rise that we feel it appropriate to take a cautious approach.
Face masks are no longer mandatory but please do feel free to wear one if you prefer. Our team have each made a personal choice and will still have access to masks. We will have our NHS test and trace QR code displayed to enable those guests that want to check in to do so, although this is also no longer a mandatory requirement.
Sanitiser will still be available throughout our business, our toilet soap remains anti-bacterial.
Although over-counter transactions are once again permitted we plan to continue our commitment to table service for a few more weeks which has been an overwhelmingly positive experience for the vast majority of our guests. Also to ensure we can look after as many of our guests as possible and remain welcoming we will be adding additional capacity back into the business from this week.
Please continue to make bookings for food either by calling us on 01438 579504, or messaging direct and note that we no longer take bookings for our external tables and that there’s no necessity to book if simply coming in for drinks.
Finally we would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported us throughout this unprecedented period of time and hope that as things ease guests continue to have the confidence to visit us, knowing that we have their safety and well-being uppermost in our thoughts as we try to work back to the traditional pub experience we all remember.
See you soon,
Lloyd, Becky and the Station team
