Tier 2 - November Update

Dear Guests,

Following the government’s announcement on Thursday 26th November and the subsequent decision to move Hertfordshire into Tier Two COVID restrictions we find ourselves once again required to review our operation.

It is particularly difficult as at this time of year we should be fully extending the hand of hospitality and embracing the season, raising a glass to friendship, family and all the festive calendar has to offer.

This year has, of course, been tough on everyone with opportunities to relax and unwind limited. We are immensely proud however of the business we’ve established here and eternally grateful to the village, our friends and guests who have welcomed us so warmly and supported us so steadfastly. Even with the current difficulties and restrictions being placed on our industry we are as determined as we are confident that there is a very bright future for The Station and remain committed long term.

It’s not easy therefore, especially at this time of year, that we have to take difficult decisions short-term to protect our team and business, but like so many people at this unprecedented time these are the very real decisions to be made. Therefore, our opening hours for the next two weeks are listed below:

Friday 4th December 12midday - 11.00pm (last orders 10.00pm, Food served 12-9)

Saturday 5th December 12midday - 11.00pm (last orders 10.00pm, Food served 12-9)

Sunday 6th December 12midday - 8.00pm (Food served 12-7)

Monday 7th December - Thursday 10th December CLOSED

Friday 11th December 12midday - 11.00pm (last orders 10.00pm, Food served 12-9)

Saturday 12th December 12midday - 11.00pm (last orders 10.00pm, Food served 12-9)

Sunday 13th December 12midday - 8.00pm (Food served 12-7)

Monday 14th December - Thursday 17th December CLOSED

We will return to operating 7 days a week from Friday 18th December and release more details of our festive programme nearer the time as if there’s one thing this year has taught us it’s not to plan too far ahead!!

You should continue to expect a warm welcome, great food and drinks with friendly service in a safe and secure environment. We will continue to serve pub classics done well, our fabulous festive menu is available throughout December and we will be ramping up our takeaway food and hot drinks offer with specials changing daily.

It is the case that we can only welcome single-family units or support bubbles indoors right now and it may be the case that alcoholic drink can only be taken with a substantial meal. Our contention, however, remains that the village deserves to have its pub back and we will continue to roll with the punches, make the best decisions we know how to ensure we are here for many, hopefully happier years to come.
